San Diego Pride’s Advocacy & Policy Committee (also referred to as PAPC) is based on a grassroots model of volunteer-led community engagement that empowers LGBTQ people to envision and build civic and educational opportunities by and for diverse communities.
This committee’s purpose is to help assess and advise the organization on policy and advocacy items that align with Pride’s Pillars of Justice and policy priority areas.
Time Commitment
Members of the PAPC will attend regular meetings, at least one meeting per month.
PPAC members may also be asked to respond to inquiries and requests for policy assessments / recommendations outside of monthly meetings. This additional work may require up to approx 1-2 hrs per week at "high times," but will be minimal throughout the rest of the year.
